Tips & Tricks Tuesday

You are going to love this tip, especially since the new Stampin' Up! thick foam ink pads are going to be available to customers on June 1!  Each of the pads comes with a multi-language label affixed to the back.  You select the correct language and adhere it to the flat end of your ink pad, so you see not only the color put the color name as well.  Here comes the trick!  From the remaining labels, cut off some of the color from the label and stick it on the inside of the open pad.  No more color confusion when you have several pads open and they are all a similar dark color!  And here's another great tip for you!  Use a small hole punch to punch a circle and stick it to the top of your re-inker!  Now it will be easy to find the match without lifting up five or more re-inker bottles looking for the right color.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words (and I know I'm still under that!), here is what you need to see.

I hope you found this helpful.  Please leave a comment since I love to hear from my readers!

Blessings,
Barbara

Are We Having Fun Yet?

You bet I am!  I had another visit from Mister Brown today, and he brought me more catalog sneak peek goodies!  And it was just in time for me to play with them for the Utah DIVAS Saturday Sketch challenge.  Here is this week's sketch, DIVASC188, and I love how clean and simple it is.  You can check the DIVAS blog to see what the rest of the team came up with.

I used a lot of sneak peek items on this card, and many of them I got for free as part of a Sale-A-Bration recruiting bundle.  Free is good, right? So take a look at my card.

Here's a list of the amazing new products I used:
  •  Patio Party Designer Series Paper
  •  Itty Bitty Banners stamp set
  •  Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
  •  Bitty Banners Framelits
  •  New 2012-2014 In Colors Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, and Summer Starfruit

Don't you love it?  All of those little banners were a breeze to cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  I can't wait until you can see the catalog!  Please email me if you would like your own copy.  I expect my boxes to arrive any day, and I will be happy to give you a free catalog!  If you are not local, I can mail it priority mail if you will reimburse me the $5 postage.

Thanks for stopping by!  Leave me a comment so I know I have a live audience!  :)

Blessings,
Barbara

P.S.  I'm really loving that Raspberry Ripple!

I'm Dying to Find Out!

So tell me, what do you think of my new header and my new look?  I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I finished it up yesterday afternoon, and yes, I designed it myself in My Digital Studio!  I am finally getting comfortable working with the program, and it is quite intuitive!  Of course, the years I spent designing our middle school yearbook on the computer probably helped a little bit.

As I promised, I am back with a sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 catalog.

Everything you are looking at is new product, except, of course, Whisper White cardstock.  Here's what I used.

Stamps:  Betsy's Blossoms
Inks and paper:  Gumball Green, Midnight Muse (AWESOME new ink pads!)
Accessories:  Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, stampin' dimensionals

The Gumball Green layer, along with the bird's wing, are popped up layers.  Twenty-one of these cards will be in the mail tomorrow, on their way to a sneak peek swap.  I know I will rip open the package when the swap gets mailed back to me!  This is a great group that always does top quality work.

Remember, I want to know how you like the new look!  Leave me some love!!

Blessings,
Barbara
