Tea for Two

I had a little time to play today, and I finally opened my Tea for Two DSP.  It is really beautiful!  I have a soft spot for floral fabrics and papers, as you will see by the patterns I chose.

All the details~
  • Stamps ~ Family Reunion
  • Papers ~ Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Tea for Two DSP
  • Inks ~ Early Espresso
  • Accessories ~ Basic Pearls, Delicate Designs Folder, Large Scallop Edgelit, Elegant Butterfly punch, Bitty Butterfly punch
My inspiration for this came from a sample I saw on Stampin' Connection, the blog for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  Since I didn't have the beautiful lace used in the sample, I created my own with my Delicate Designs folder.  I think this adds such an elegant touch to this card.  Don't you agree?

Barbara

Feeling Sentimental

Happy Saturday, and welcome to my blog! Grab your cup of coffee and check out the card I created for this week's Utah Divas International sketch. You can find links to all of the cards and designers here. This month's sketches were designed by team member Tammy Fite. Hasn't she done a fabulous job with the sketches? Here is the sketch for the week, UDISC229.  I just rotated the sketch from a vertical position to a horizontal one.

And here's my card. I just love this Sale-a-Bration stamp set, "Feeling Sentimental."  I sure will miss it when Sale-a-Bration ends on March 22.  It's not too late to get this stamp set free with a $50 order!

All the details~

  • Stamps ~ Feeling Sentimental, That's the Ticket, You're Amazing
  • Papers ~ Very Vanilla, Basic Black, First Edition Specialty DSP
  • Inks ~  Black Staz-On, Basic Gray (for sponging)
  •  Accessories ~ Ticket Duo Builder Punch, Vintage Trinkets, Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals
My inspiration for this came from a card in my work area.  I recently did a masculine card class using this color scheme along with the two other images in "Feeling Sentimental," the phone booth and the bicycle.  (I saw the sweet ticket embellishment somewhere in blog land, but I can't remember where!  If it was your creation, please let me know so I can give you credit.)

Thanks for stopping by.  Your comments mean a lot to me, so leave a little love if you can!

Have a great weekend!

Blessings,
Barbara

Best of Love

Happy Saturday, and welcome to my blog!  Most mornings when I get up, I check my mail with a cup of coffee in hand.  As my dad used to tell me, you need two cups of coffee in the morning, one for each leg!  So by now I'd be on my second cup!  :-)

This week's Utah Divas International sketch was designed by team member Tammy Fite, who has done all of the February sketches. You can find links to all of the cards and designers here.

Here's what I was inspired to create:

All the details~

  • Stamps ~ Best of Love
  • Papers ~ Very Vanilla
  • Inks ~  Primrose Petals, Pink Pirouette
  •  Accessories ~ Big Shot, Petals a Plenty folder, Large Scallop Edgelits, Hearts collection framelits, Delicate Designs folders, stampin' dimensionals
My inspiration for the card came from a piece of paper I had embossed last year.  I inked the Petals a Plenty folder with Pink Pirouette ink and ran it through the Big Shot.  I had a couple of pieces left over and hung on to them because I thought they were so pretty.  What do you think?  I am really pleased with how this came out.  And I love the new February Best of Love stamp set (132987, $14.95).  It contains so many great images, including the sweet little "love you much."

As I type this, we are in the midst of an East Coast blizzard!  It is so nice to be inside of a warm house with electricity!  After losing power for a week after Hurricane Sandy, I don't take my electricity for granted.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be well!
