Mother's Day Storm

Today is Mother's Day. I woke up this morning, came downstairs to make a cup of coffee, and saw the most amazing thing on our deck. We have a beautiful flowering tree, some kind of cherry, that has been in full bloom. The blossoms are past their peak and are starting to drop their petals. We had a stiff breeze this morning, and the petals were coming down like rain. I took some photos to try and share just how pretty it was.

  1. Hi,
Welcome to the blogging world. Small world it is. I just followed your link from Anna's blog (http://stampanna.typepad.com) and realized you are my neighbor! Remember a few years ago a large snowman appeared on your way to school? You wrote us a lovely note back then. Just had to stop and say hi!
Love the things you are making, I thought I was the only stamper in town...:)
    Happy Spring.

  2. Hi, Diana!

Of course I remember the snowman. I sent that photo to a friend in Michigan who was overwhelmed by the snowfall that year and she was not happy to see a snowman appear in her mailbox! I also stopped to take photos of your tulips. I love your landscaping!
I am only a stone's throw from your house. If you ever want to get together to stamp, just let me know!
